Keywords ? Are you confused about them?
What are keywords?
“Keyword” is the word that has been confusing so many new affiliate marketers and maybe a quick and simple clarification is needed.
The reason why keywords are called “keywords” is because they are the main words or the“key” words that have to do with your niche or product.
Each website with a product for sale can be found by words that describe the product generally or specifically. For example, if you are in the internet marketing niche, your “broad” keywords could be: website design, niche finder, keywords, keyword tools, blogging, etc…These would be broad, general keywords.
More specific keywords could be: Squidoo guide for newbies, Wordpress tutorial or article writing tutorial.
All the examples above are keywords. They are words that are related to your website, your niche, your blog and your product.
What are keywords for?
A keyword is just a word or a phrase that people put in a search engine browser to find a specific item. Search engines such as Google, Yahoo or MSN for example, are providing their customers with an accurate listing for their search. Search engines try to be as accurate as possible for a search. Therefore, your job is to deliver keywords that are as accurate as possible for your websites, articles or blogs. Anything you may write online should be keyword optimized.
How important are keywords?
The more specific you are with your keywords, the more targeted traffic you will get. On the other hand the broader your keywords are the more general traffic you will get and fewer sales you will make. Specific keywords will attract targeted traffic. Targeted traffic will result in more sales.
How to use keywords in an article?
When you write articles based on your website-product, determine what keywords you want to bring out. Once you’ve found them, make your keyword phrase(s) as specific as possible to target a specific crowd.
Use your keyword phrase once in the title, around 3 times in the body of the article and once in your resource box.
It is very important to use your keywords naturally, not forcefully in your article. This will always be to your best advantage and contribute to the quality of your content as well as making your articles more efficient and interesting to read.
Keywords are not hard to understand or to use. When you understand what keywords are and what they are for you will be able to use them naturally, easily and efficiently.
